November 2011 Updates
The month of November 1983 marks the end of The Wild Heart tour, it’s final performance given in Columbia, SC on the 24th. With a total of fifty solid dates throughout the U.S. Stevie and her opening act Joe Walsh pulled in an average of $136,906 at each stop. Pretty decent considering the average cost of a ticket back then was $12. The tour kicked off back in May and was winding down with just eleven dates to go this time some 28 years ago. Highlights of the tour included the massive US Festival II in San Bernardino, CA with over 600,000 in attendance on May 30th and on September 25th the Stevie & Friends Benefit in Tempe, AZ, which fans know now as the AHI Benefit. Even though her setlist did not include the single Nightbird which was released on November 30, 1983 she did peform the song on Saturday Night Live the next month on December 10, 1983 along with Stand Back and on Solid Gold in January of 1984.
