June 2011 Updates

The month of June is loaded with tour dates from various decades and destinations. However, the massive 2 year Tusk tour must be given precedence. The European leg of Tusk began June 1, 1980 in Munich, Germany at the Olympic Horse Riding Stadium and ended on June 27 in London, England at the Wembly Arena. With sixteen solid performances 3 of Stevie’s signature songs were recorded for the Fleetwood Mac Live album released same year. Dreams was recorded during a soundcheck in Paris at the Palais de Sport on June 14. Both Landslide and Rhiannon were recorded on the last night of the European leg in London on June 27, 1980. This was the same night Christine had to finish the set with her classic Songbird alone as Mic became too ill to perform. The recordings of these historic shows gave fans not just another album from Fleetwood Mac but an amazing video as well, Fleetwood Mac Documentary and Live Concert released in 1981 coveted by fans everywhere as it has long since been out of print.
